This week we have been learning about our health and well-being. We read the story of the Colour Monster and then focused on the time the monster felt fear and he turned black and wanted to hide away.
Fear can be hard to understand and it can give us a strange, shaky feeling in our tummies.
We might want to hide away or our worries might cause us to panic about something so much.
We then thought about our own experiences and the times when we might have felt fear too!
After that we designed our own worry stone and then decorated a pebble using oil pastels and coated it with PVA glue to protect it and make it shine.
Sometimes it can be hard to talk about how we feel. A worry stone helps others know that we aren’t feeling ok.
You can pass your worry stone to a friend, grown-up or someone that helps you to let them know you want to talk or you can rub it to help you feel calm again!
