Maths Challenge!

During the last week of school we were exploring patterns in Maths. Therefore, for your first challenge to have a go at over the holidays can you try and make a repeated pattern?

You could use small parts including; natural objects, lego, playdough, buttons, teddies or counters. Encourage your Child to say the pattern aloud as this helps them to identify the parts which repeat and continue the pattern. You could explore colour, shape and size.  Start off with having two parts to repeat  then progress on to 3 or 4 parts to repeat. Feel free to send photos of your creations to our emails via the school email address.

Extension:
Give your Child a pattern to complete – Can you figure out the rule and continue the pattern?
