Over the past term our Beighton Bees have been working alongside myself, Mrs Wright and our lunch provider Taylor Shaw to develop the lunch menu and help come up with some ways to improve it. They held an assembly to encourage more children to try and have a school lunch rather than a packed lunch.
The Beighton Bees each invited one classmate who might normally have a packed lunch, to come and join in with some food tasting today with Claire and Jo from Taylor Shaw. The children were all encouraged to try some of the different foods and were asked to rate the food. The children all tried the majority of the food and some were pleasantly surprised with how it tasted.
There will also be a themed event in May which the Beighton Bees have helped to plan and we hope that the majority of our children will all try a school lunch that day. Keep your eyes peeled for further details.
