This week, we have been reading CVC words - words that contain three sounds. Some of the children focussed on identifying the initial sound in each word, while others tried to say each sound in the word before blending them together. We used a range of activities to help us with this skill, including matching pictures to the correct word, snakes and ladders and finding hidden CVC around the classroom using magnifying glasses.
