This week we have had a focus on other cultures and we have decided, along with the other Reception classes, to focus on the country Italy.
Our lessons have been based around this country and for English we have been writing facts about Italy - the children were excited to find out that the Ferrari is made here! We have also been trying to speak some Italian! Ask your child what Italian words they can remember!
For Topic lesson we have made the Italian flag, I wonder if the boys and girls can remember what colours are in it?
We have prepared pizza and learnt the methods involved. We have agreed that most of us love pizza! The class were delighted to discover that many of their favorite foods originate from Italy.
The children are going to look round other classes in school on Friday to learn more about other countries. Ask them what facts they can remember!
