Free money from Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’!

Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Community Funding Scheme; Bags of Help, which sees the money raised from carrier bag sales awarded as grants of up to £4,000 to local community projects.

We are very excited that our School has been selected to benefit from the scheme! We will use the money to upgrade our School Garden/Allotment. This will be a wonderful way to reconnect children with the natural world and the true source of their food. 

However, we need your help…

Shoppers can vote for their preferred project when they are in a Tesco store. Our nearest store is the Tesco Express in Beighton, but there are also stores at Birley, Totley or the Abbeydale Tesco Superstore.

Voting closes at the end of February - Customers cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out each time they shop…please ask if you aren’t automatically given a token. After all, Every Little Helps!
