Comic Relief Superheroes!

 Wow we have such a range of different superheroes today! We have NHS superheroes, Marvel superheroes and even imaginative superheroes like super painters!

Green Class P.E and Forest School

We are learning all about invasion games in P.E this half term. We began by focussing on football skills and now we have moved onto basketball skills. The children showed amazing listening skills and were super 'Focussed Foxes' during our session this week. We have also enjoyed some outdoor learning in forest school.

We are having lots of fun in Nursery!

 We welcomed some new children into the nursery last week for some short visits, and this week was their first week in Nursery. They have had lots of fun exploring their new surroundings and meeting the nursery children. 

We also welcomed everyone else back last week and they have now settled back into Nursery life. We have had lots of fun exploring colour mixing this week. Indoors we have been focusing on making the colour pink, like a pig. Outdoors the children used powder paints and mixed them into puddles on the floor. 

Transparent and Opaque

 

In Science we have been focusing on everyday materials and their properties.

We have already tested to see if materials are absorbent and waterproof.

We have now tested which materials are transparent and which are opaque. We tested whether light would pass through the materials and if we could see through the material clearly. We then catergorised the materials based on their properties.

Sending and recieving!

 On Friday in P.E we learnt how to send and receive a ball with our feet. Previously we had used our hands but we are now working towards passing, stopping the ball with our feet and passing back. Some of us found this tricky but we realised if we keep a close eye on the ball it is much easier. We also worked on passing and then moving to make sure that our team mates could pass the ball easily to us! Can you have a go at this at home?
