Arranging a sentence

We have had a challenge this week to put some sentences back together. 

We knew that the word with a capital letter would be the first word in our sentence and the word that has a full stop would come at the end. We then had a go at putting the words in the right order in the middle and reading the sentence to make sure it made sense.

Stick Man

This week we have been reading Stick Man by Julia Donaldson.

We worked as a class to make our own stick man and then labelled him. 

We have been using different materials in the creative area to make our own stick men.

We have enjoyed exploring melting and breaking ice 

to set penguins and sticks free.

Partitioning Numbers

This week we have been partitioning numbers into tens and ones.

We split two digit numbers using a part-whole model.

If we partitioned 16, it would have 1 ten and 6 ones.
