In Red Class today, we have been learning about measuring weight.

We have learnt new mathematical vocabulary such as, heavy, light, heavier and lighter.

Which item is heavier?  A pencil or a shoe?
Which item is lighter? A teddy or a table?

Comment with your answers below.

Chinese Dancing

Our Chinese Dance workshop was so much fun today. We learnt lots about Chinese Dance.

As it is Chinese New Year soon, can you research for information at home?

What can you find out about?

What celebrations take place?

Maths Games

We have been playing some Maths games on Topmarks. Our favourite ones have been:

* Odd and Even Coconuts
* Tens and Ones Basketball
* Numberline Boat
* Daily 10 Challenge
* Weighing scales postman

Here is the website if you would like to try these at home. Are there any other ones which you like?

I wonder if anyone can do the Daily 10 in 5 seconds?

Counting Practise

We have been practising counting the Emergency vehicles. We know to say the number of vehicles only when we touch them and not before.
We counted 5 emergency vehicles.

We showed the number we had counted, on our fingers.

Safer Internet Day

As part of Safer Internet Day the children used their BeeBots to travel around the village.
They had to work together to direct the BeeBot.
"I made it move forward"

We also talked about staying safe when using the internet at home and not pressing buttons if we were unsure what they did.
