Exploring Homes New and Old
In Green Class this week, we have been having lots of fun in our History lesson. We are beginning to look at how homes built in the past differ from more modern homes. We began our learning by collecting natural materials from our outside area and along with other resources in school, created different homes in small groups. We all did great working in teams...we were fantastic 'Teamwork Trolls'.
Hello!
There has been a couple of teething problems with our blog this year but we are back up and running and excited to show you what we have been up to!
In English we have been reading 'The Minpins' by Roald Dahl. We made our very own Minpin and we are about to write an amazing character description about them. We have been working very hard on improving our vocabulary and finding powerful synonyms.
As part of our mindfulness time we have been doing lots of relaxing activities which promote discussion and calm learning. On Friday it was very windy so we decided to collect some leaves and create our own leaf animal collages! We loved it. Have a look if you can see some of them on our window!
In Maths we have been looking at place value to 100 but we are also having a go at counting in 3s and re-capping our 2,5 and 10 times tables. We are getting really good at them!
