Hello!

 There has been a couple of teething problems with our blog this year but we are back up and running and excited to show you what we have been up to!

In English we have been reading 'The Minpins' by Roald Dahl. We made our very own Minpin and we are about to write an amazing character description about them. We have been working very hard on improving our vocabulary and finding powerful synonyms.

As part of our mindfulness time we have been doing lots of relaxing activities which promote discussion and calm learning. On Friday it was very windy so we decided to collect some leaves and create our own leaf animal collages! We loved it. Have a look if you can see some of them on our window!

In Maths we have been looking at place value to 100 but we are also having a go at counting in 3s and re-capping our 2,5 and 10 times tables. We are getting really good at them! 

It is so great to have everybody back, happy and learning!

Fun Fine Motor!

This week Purple Class have been developing their fine motor skills during our continuous provision time. Each day we work in groups taking part in different fine motor activities, then we encourage the children to apply these skills within the provision. This includes; writing, drawing, cutting, sticking, using pipettes and building! Can you spot the robots and the letter 'm'?

The children have enjoyed making their Minpins. They have been describing their personalities and appearances as part of their character descriptions.

Yesterday was the long awaited first day for our little superstar, Hannah!

Hello New Turquoise Year Two's!

 Hi!

We hope you have had a lovely restful Summer and we are so excited to welcome you to your new classroom and year group! We thought it would be useful for you to know that our P.E days will be on Wednesdays and Fridays so please remember to wear appropriate clothing as we will be doing it outside.
